What materials are used in the products?Updated 3 days ago

All our products are BPA-free, PVC-free, and Latex-free. Ovalware specializes in products made out of Stainless Steel and Borosilicate Glass. 

Stainless Steel 

Most of our products that are made of stainless steel use 304 stainless steel. 304 Stainless steel is also known as 18/8 Stainless Steel, A2 Stainless Steel. 

A great property of stainless steel is that it does not rust. However, people who live in regions with high calcium content tap water (hard water) may find mottling discolorations built up in their coffee brewware. 

You can remove this discoloration by filling the kettle with one part vinegar to three parts water and bringing the mixture to a boil. Then take it off the heat and let it cool to the touch before discarding the mixture.

The stainless steel used in our stainless steel filters is tested by SGS for heavy metals. The material contains no detectable heavy metals, including aluminum, lead, and cadmium. Please rest assured- although our products are made in factories in China, we uphold them to USA standards. 

Borosilicate Glass 

All of our glass products are made with high-resilience borosilicate glass, meaning they can withstand sudden high changes in temperatures (up to 170℃)  without a problem; therefore, they are microwavable and dishwasher safe! Our borosilicate glass is also SGS and TUV tested for heavy metals.

Borosilicate Glass can also withstand temperature from -22F ~ 355F (-30℃ ~ 180℃)
